Plastics Challenge
This lesson plan that I created based on Scratch, an easy to use coding application for students is based around themes of recycling, conservation, and plastic waste. It encourages students to use real data to infer and create a plan on how they can reduce plastic waste consumption. I would use this lesson plan in my current grade four classroom to integrate science and technology. I also think that I could easily integrate ELA and this activity is a great way to introduce students to the world of coding! If you would like to take a look at my lesson plan, click here.
Nadia,
ReplyDeleteThis blog post is so aesthetically pleasing!
Thank you for sharing your lesson plan-what an excellent resource! I'll be sure to refer to it when I teach science.
I think incorporating technology into any subject can serve as an enhancement, especially for ELL students.
Great work.
Hi Nadia,
ReplyDeleteI love how this lesson engages students with real-world issues like plastic pollution, making the topic both relevant and impactful. The integration of Scratch to develop solutions adds a wonderful creative and technological aspect, allowing students to apply their learning in a hands-on way. It would be amazing to see even more opportunities for collaboration among students, such as group projects to foster teamwork while brainstorming solutions! Great Job!
